FOCUS '08
The FOCUS activities complement our traditional Main Camp program. They offer the ability for the camper to choose an activity that they can concentrate on during their week of camp.
Archery
Week 6, Grades 4&5, July 20-26
Instructor: Bob Miles, Manns Choice, PA
Bob has been an archer for more than 40 years. He is an avid hunter and outdoorsman who loves the Lord and seeks to see other's encouraged in their faith. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to archery. Combine that with his passion for Christ, and Bob will be an excellent encouragement to the campers involved with this FOCUS.
Capacity: 8 campers (must also be signed up for Main Camp's Week 6 program)
FOCUS cost: $15
Schedule: During the week of camp there will be over five hours of instruction and practice on the use, care and shooting of bows and arrows. This time of FOCUS will run concurrently with Main Camp's normal schedule. But in addition to the FOCUS activity, campers will also be able to enjoy many other New Life favorites.
Digital Photography
Week 4, Grades 6&7, July 6-12
Instructor: Ned Donaldson, Bedford,PA
Ned has been taking photographs for publications, presentations, and handcrafts since 1970. As an artist he truly knows that "a picture is worth a thousand words." He has a deep love and commitment to Jesus Christ, who taught with beautiful word pictures - parables!
Capacity: 12 campers (must also be signed up for Main Camp's Week 4 program)
FOCUS cost: $10
Schedule: Each participant should have his/her own digital camera. In eight hours of instruction and field guidance, campers will learn the importance of visualizing, light, composition, and color in taking digital photos.
