Dear Friends and Supporters

We have a very busy winter and spring here at New Life Bible Camp. Starting the weekend following New Year’s Day, we have had retreat groups with us all the way through the end of April, plus we have also hosted some day trips from local churches and para-ministries. It is nice to see the church retreat groups snapping back from the negative effects of Covid-19. We also enjoyed great turnout for our hosted events. He had 60 with us for the Small Group Retreat / Dodge Ball Tournament. We appreciate Trey Hensley speaking for this event again. At the end of March we hosted 55 men for our annual Men’s Retreat, with speaker Kemp Wynn talking to us about developing an examined faith. A weekend ago, we hosted 8 families (6 stayed overnight and 2 came up for Saturday) for our Family Retreat Getaway. I enjoyed speaking for this event and getting to know the parents and their children. We don’t have a lot of retreats for May 2023. We are hosting our annual Celebrate Banquet on May 2nd, a catered-affair, and a way for us to say thank you to all who have supported us and served with us in various way throughout the year. We do have one retreat remaining. It is Grace Prep High School from State College PA. They will join us for a mid-week event toward the end of May.

We are spending a great deal of time in preparing for the summer camp program that will begin with Staff Training on June 5th. The Lord had provided Camp Nurses/Camp Moms for every week of camp, which is such a huge blessing. We have all our overnight counseling staff in place, but could still use a couple Junior Counselor guys (1 opening week 1; 1 opening week 8). I have been working on new songs that I would like to teach the campers this summer, plus pulling out all the traditional ones we have been doing for years. It is looking like we are going to have all our weeks filled with campers. Please keep us in your prayers this summer as we seek to teach the campers about the importance of God’s Word and how they can participate. Thanks for praying!!!
