Dear Friends In Christ,
You may have heard that I am planning on retiring from the full time ministry of New Life Bible Camp at the end of May 2025. It is my intention to finish out the upcoming retreat season as I have already agreed to participate with many of the retreat groups through music ministry and speaking. I have seen wonderful relationships develop in my 35 years working with the retreat groups and I would like to have the opportunity for a proper goodbye with each of them before moving on.
The future is a lot more clear than it was when I first announced that I would retire. I am pleased to announce that even though my ministry at New Life Bible Camp is coming into an end (there is a plan for me join the board so not a complete end), I will be joining the ministry team of Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD as a pastoral assistant. My official title is Director of Men’s Ministry and Visitation.
We have already started with the Men’s Ministry, having a Men’s Breakfast at the church this past JAN and starting a Men’s Bible Study that will begin at 6:30 PM on Thursday April 3l meeting weekly through the end of May. We will meet in the fellowship hall of MHBC. I have enjoyed Bible Study, writing curriculum and planning events for the guys.
I am also looking to buy a trailer in Ridgeley WV that is affordable and close to the church. Right now I am waiting on what the loan officer says.
It has been suggested that I check with my financial supporters about the possibility of continuing their support by helping me start an monthly retirement/transition fund. Currently, support sent for my account needs to be sent through New Life Bible Camp, but on June 1st, support will need to be sent through Memorial Heights Baptist Church.
Please pray about supporting me and helping me through this transitional time.
God bless you all!
Ever Only Jesus,
Andy Maples
