October Prayer Calendar 2023

OCT 3: Guitar Night at New Life Bible Camp. 6:30 – 9:00 (or later)

Oct 6-8: New Life Bible Camp will be hosting the Chantilly Bible Church Upper Class students for a weekend retreat (we will be providing food service for this event).

OCT 8: I will join the praise team for the evening service on guitar at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD.

OCT 9-12: Planted Gap Year Ministries from His Thousand Hills will be with us for a mid-week Adventure Camp Retreat, led by Ben Erway.

OCT 13-15: New Life Bible Camp will be hosting the annual Teen Retreat. Sign up for this event at www.newlifebiblecamp.com (I will be leading worship for this event). The speaker is Chris Sirbaugh

OCT 15: I will join the praise team for the evening service on guitar at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD.

OCT 20-22: New Life Bible Camp will be hosting the youth group from West View Baptist Church, Morgantown WV, led by youth pastor Ethan Kerns

OCT 22: I will join the praise team for the evening service on guitar at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD.

OCT 29: I will join the praise team for the morning service on guitar at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD as part of Pastor Appreciation Sunday

Praises/Prayers:

1: Retreat season got off to a great starts with Peniel Christian Center retreat over Labor Day weekend, followed by a retreat group from Calvary Chapel in Morgantown WV, our Father/Son Adventure, Mother/Daughter Horse weekend, and capping off the month with the Crafting retreat, led by Megan Weaver

2: I was able to attend the Tommy Emanuel Guitar Camp in Nashville TN and also my 50th High School Reunion in Greenville SC, getting to spend some time with family and friends in between these two events. I was nice to visit the south again.

3: The volunteers plus staff are working hard to complete the new staff house, soon to be occupied by Zach and Megan Weaver and their two daughters, EllieAnna and Addison. I still do most of the cooking for the volunteers, and it is a great time for food and fellowship with the folks that invest their time into New Life Bible Camp.

4: Our main volunteer, Elvin Martin, who gave us a scare a few weeks ago with his blood pressure, seems to be doing much better. Thanks for your prayers.

5: Pray that I will be able to jump back into the schedule when I return from my vacation. I am working through the book of Revelation as a way to prepare for the 2024 summer camp teaching program. Thanks for your prayers and love.
