Dear Friends In Christ,
The month of May is here and I’ve begun moving from the trailer on the camp property to my apartment in Ellerslie, MD. I was glad that I was able to work with the retreat groups that were at New Life in May and April. I have known many of these folks for over 30 years, and it is sad to think I may not be able to spend time with them again in the future months or years. As I mentioned in my previous note, we had a great turnout for the Small Group Retreat at the beginning of March and the Men’s Retreat at the end of March. Leading worship for these various groups and for the camp events has been such a blessing to me and I think it will be what I will miss the most. We stayed busy in April with the Dad and Daughter event and a couple of guest retreat groups. I was able to lead worship with the praise team from Word of Life Chapel just a few days ago.
I am in the process of moving into my apartment. The electric power is on and I am working on the WiFi.t. It is a very small apartment so I will continue looking for a better landing place down the road, but for now I am content with what the Lord has provided. We have a couple of events at New Life that I will be participating in before I officially retire on May 31st
Some of my supporters have asked about my needs as I begin transitioning from camp missionary at New Life to the Director of Men’s Ministry and Visitation at Memorial Heights Baptist Church in Cumberland MD. If you or your church has supported me in the past through financial giving through New Life Bible Camp, you may continue supporting me through this transition. After June 1st, any support checks should be made out to Memorial Heights Baptist Church with a note that it is part of my retirement support. The mailing address for the church is listed above. Thanks for your prayers, support and friendship!
Ever Only Jesus, Andy Maples
