Dear Friends and Supporters
It has been a busy few months at New Life Bible Camp. We have hosted several guest retreats and hosted events throughout the winter months of 2024. We had a wonderful turnout for the Small group Retreat, with four churches bringing their youth group to this event. In all we had 57 with us. We thanks the leaders of Camp of Faith Church (Stephens City VA w/ Ruben and Rachael Mendez), Hope Springs Fellowship (Bowling Green MD w/ Timothy and Lydia Donaldson), Aldergate Church of York PA w/Miranda and Tyler Moland), and Grave Valley Baptist Church (Romney WV with Hayley Lake, Alyssa Lake, and Alex Leonard). We especially appreciate the teaching sessions with Pastor Trey Hensley. Everyone participated Saturday afternoon at the Calvary Bible Church annual Dodge Ball Tourney. A team from New Life made it into the finals but came up just short.
The brand new pastor of Calvary Bible Church, “Grant Appell” was the speaker for the Men’s Retreat at the end of March. His messages and theme was built around Psalm 1:1-3, focusing on what it means for a man to take full delight in the Word of God.
There is a lot going on in the weeks following Easter weekend. The annual Dad and Daughter Adventure weekend is April 5-7, followed by the Word of Life Chapel youth retreat, the Fellowship Bible Church Junior High Retreat, and ending the month of April with our Annual Family Retreat Getaway, with special guest speaker, Wes Rinehart. May has a good bit going on as well with retreats and events. The Guitar Night for April is set for the 16th at the Lodge Dining Room. It seems to grow every time with have one of these events. I am looking forward to playing guitar and singing for the Easter service at Calvary Bible Church in Ellerslie PA.
Preparing for Summer Camp is an ongoing but enjoyable task. We are starting to fill our open counseling positions and looking forward to a wonderful time of ministry this summer with out campers. We appreciate deeply your faithfulness in praying for us. I am spending a good bit of time studying for the curriculum and also in learning new songs that I hope with excite and inspire the campers. I really love singing with them and the staff. Thanks again for your prayers. It means a lot!!!
